Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. She's released over 20 albums. Her music is categorized as folk and alternative rock, but it also has hints of jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco is considered to be a feminist hero and a Grammy award winner. As one of women's first artists of the 1990s, DiFranco founded her own record label. DiFranco's parents, Elizabeth (Ross), a former student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each one another while both attending.
