Coleman was born in the town of Blackpool in Lancashire. She was educated at Arnold School in Blackpool. In her time as headgirl, she scored straight A marks in her A-Levels. In a discussion about her Emmerdale role, Coleman stated that she regrets not having a conventional university education. Coleman worked with a group called In Yer Space at her school. The company presented Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. The award was presented to her for her performance and the show was received favourably. Coleman, who was auditioning to join drama colleges in 2005, landed Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. In 2007 Coleman was nominated for two Awards. At the British Soap Awards she was nominated as Best Newcomer and at the National Television Awards she was awarded the title of the Most Popular Newcomer. The British Soap Awards of 2009 she received nominations in the categories Best Actress and Sexiest female and the Best Dramatic Acting. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference in 2012 that Coleman will be Matt Smith's character after Karen Gillan left. Moffat chose her due to her ability to work together with Smith, and that she could speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been in the world of film since 1987. Her most popular role was on the television. Eva played many characters on TV, however two stand out: Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as the character of Detective Natalia Boavistas which was in CSI Miami. In the latter, she even received two nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards and gave her a chance to explore her creativity in music. Eva is not only an actress, she is also a businesswoman and philanthropist. She has been married thrice and is the mother of a child from her previous husband.
