Ina-Garten

Ina Garden is an American cookbook writer who has received Emmy awards. She is the host of the longest-running Food Network show, Barefoot Contessa. The show began in 2002. It will air for 27 more seasons. Ina began her career working for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy papers. She initially adored the intellectual stimulation that came with her work, but she quickly stopped her enthusiasm. In her place, she purchased Barefoot Contessa, a specialty food shop. The store was very successful for 18 years before she decided to let it go. Then she began writing her first cookbook. There were many more cookbooks and magazine columns which were added. Another hit came from the Food Network Television show. In addition, she sells a variety of items ranging from cooking materials as well as storage containers and equipment. Ina she has not attended any cooking school, nor employed in a restaurant, and is completely self-taught. She is known as a cook who is simple and has her entertaining manner. Her most well-known recipes include easy recipes like Skillet Roasted Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese made with beef Bourguignon, and the Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
