Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been an actor, model and advocate for animal rights in the US. Her work has received acclaim for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). Growing up in an artistic family living in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of art. When she was assistant to photographers then she turned her attention to acting and modeling. She was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 1990 for being an aspiring young actor. MacGraw became a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was considered for nomination to an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within three years, she had been voted as the most popular female box-office starter in the world. Her footprints from 1972 and autograph were engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw is married three times.
